Empowering YOUth is a summer enrichment program allowing middle schoolers (ages 11-13) to explore the many facets of social work and the positive impact social workers make on their communities. Participants in this program will create their own advocacy projects, connect with awesome new friends, meet social workers in the community, and have a blast learning, creating, and growing.
Participants gain an understanding of the role of social workers and the various areas they work in, including sports social work, human-animal bond, school social work, and more. The program includes opportunities to learn directly from social workers with real-world experiences. Hands-on activities connect their growing passions, skills, and interests to future careers in social work.
