True Color Effects is a local summer youth leadership program that was co-designed in the summer of 2023 by 13 local high school students and teachers and a CSU teacher educator.
This two-week program utilizes a tiered mentorship model for youth and educators. Rising grades 4-8 students build interdisciplinary literacy, math, business, and leadership skills through the shared development of new businesses. High school and college students learn strategies for mentoring youth and are supported in considering teaching as a lifelong career. Teachers and CSU faculty guide the program.
Students entering third grade may register if they have an older sibling in the program and are mature and responsible.
